Inventors and Unemployment Insurance: Understanding the Safety Net for Innovators - California Policy Lab This report shows that unemployment insurance provided a safety-net for 50,000 inventors who filed a patent before filing for unemployment.

💡New research: Innovation can bring growth, progress, and profit. But it also exposes workers + companies to risk. Unemployment Insurance can mitigate that risk, but it was previously unknown how often inventors claim it.
