I watched CNN for 30 years but he's the sole reason I won't watch it now.

I didn't realize how many videos about this
Afroman made. This one is quite something... www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wWQ...
“It was totally planned,” said a senior White House aide who spoke on condition of anonymity. “It was a single tactical nuclear weapon. People need to calm down. The liberal media needs to lighten up.”
My cousin worked with him on Tony the Tiger commercials in the '80s. Thurl graciously made an answering machine message for him that said "(cousin and his wife) aren't here right now, but if you'd leave a message it'd be great!"
Appears to be the beginnings of a Christmas card from our government.
I agree. I listened to Gorsuch talking about his book on the Firing Line podcast and it felt like a nonstop stream of Fox News talking points.
I'm ok if we skip this week and clean on the 31st
This editorial drove me to finally cancel my Wapo subscription. They offered $2/mo for 12 months but I just couldn't.
Dog doo covered with flies
I no longer watch CNN at all due to Scott Jennings. Guy makes my teeth hurt.
Curiously this is a course the artist sells
And you could get in line at 7:00 AM on a Sunday when they opened at 10:00 AM and still manage to get front row seats at face value.
Steve Percaro played with Conspiracy but Chris Squire was never a member of Toto.
Wait, what?
When he showed up to an immigration meeting in Memphis, Kasper Eriksen thought he was on the verge of becoming a citizen.
Then ICE arrested the Mississippi father of four, not even giving him a chance to say goodbye to his wife, whisking him away to a prison.

Cold is Being by Renaissance
I used to be an avid CNN watcher but now I avoid it completely due to Scott Jennings.
When I first saw this I thought it said you were wishing for a gas station breakfast sandwich.
Dik-Dik pic
I think attitudes towards government employees are a bit like attitudes towards race and religion and sexuality. Plenty of people are unregenerate bigots in the abstract but have That One Black Friend who They Don’t Think of As Black. There are exceptions in the particular, unreconciled. /1
A photo of the National Archives in Washington D.C. with the inscription "This building holds in trust the records of our national life & symbolizes our faith in the permanence of our national institutions."
I was at the National Archives in November & took this photo of my favorite inscription, showing the relationship btwn studying our past & our pursuit of democratic institutions. The illegal GOP destruction of our public resources & institutions relies on the suppression/erasure of our shared past.
Good morning! What hot fresh hell awaits us today? Has Musk stolen all our dogs overnight? Does your toothbrush now have AI in it, and is suddenly racist? Has Trump thrown Santa Claus in an El Salvadoran prison? Why is everything sticky?? Tune in to the SERIES FINALE OF AMERICA to find out!
What is being said to Collins and Cassidy that's making them change their minds? I can only imagine it's threats.
I don't know if this is literally true. But it helps to clarify some arguments that @mcopelov.bsky.social and I are pulling together about the political economy of crypto and state power. If tech billionaires are massively overleveraged on two products that nobody wants, only the state can save them
Have also heard they add random extra spaces, making each email identifiable. Saw suggestions to run through ChatGPT to sanitize.
i watched this 1997 TV special on "what if the US became a personalist patriarchal dictatorship" and it's not good, but it is striking. i might write about it or better make a video about it this week.
Day 1 EOs hit, you do statements + DTCs. You edit DTCs, J6 pardons push EOs out of news You do J6 floor speeches and prep J6 presser Attacks on fed workforce overtake J6 in news You prep town hall on feds. Town halls take time Feds in freakout, you move town hall up to asap IG firings hit. Colombia trade war wipes IGs out of news, then fizzles as you respond. Funding freeze hits, total news feeding frenzy Freeze response: you prep next day press conf and site visit with media. Court blocks freeze Worst air crash in two decades happens in sky above airport in your district You drop everything to focus on crash recovery, response. No sleep, just calls, seeking info, why did this happen, pressers, writing stuff to amplify response, find/help people who lost family Trump gives crazy “DEI” crash press conference Crash now political story, ppl demand response Musk & OPM/Treasury overtake crash in news Air crash response, town hall still on early week
I do think it is important to be inspiring, to be as effective as possible, and where you can, to be both. That’s the goal.
But the effective options are thin right now and there is SO MUCH FUCKING SHIT to respond to. Let me try to sketch out briefly ten days in the life of a House press strategy
