"Turns out students aren't great at asking questions well." No fucking shit. Literally any educator could tell you that. 90% of my job as a high school librarian is trying to figure out what kids actually want versus what question they asked.

For context I live in Vermont so all crossing sites are relatively small and have always seemed chill. When I lived in Detroit prior to this admin it was always worse there, and I'm a dual citizen.

My Canadian friends and family who have visited since Jan 2024 have reported zero issues at land crossings (though I imagine it depends which one) and zero issues with but more anxiety about air crossings. My dad's a US green card holder and hasn't had any issues either method.
