‘Better the devil you know’ Starmer 2029

Newsome absolutely being positioned like an American Kier Starmer as an interregnum between spells of roaring right wing revolution by trying to convince people he’s somehow left wing, before he governs as a ‘sensible Trump.’

We can only apologise that this is from before we added the ‘ to Tau.

Absolutely. Even if you earn a good wage, but you fear the chance of being made redundant, you’re not going to say you think things are going well etc etc

Judging by how often he pops up when I’m trying to watch YouTube, this is very much happening now.

🚨New preprint and our results are rather concerning..

We find the "boiling frog" equivalent of AI use. Using large-scale RCTs, we provide *casual* evidence that AI assistance reduces persistence and hurts independent performance.

And these effects emerge after just 10–15 minutes of AI use!

A little quick one for this Atalan quad bike. Basically I had the gun leftover / unused from my Ridgestalker project so figured I should do something with it!

Base was a fun one, trying to replicate something like my GSC basing without hacking up Necromunda floor tiles. Turned out pretty well!

Leaving aside the obvious, folk are in for a shock if they think Reeves is going to smash her borrowing rules to bits / implement a wave of austerity that would make Osborne wince, to pay for any major intervention, given that headroom she loves so much is already long gone.

Spectacular high-resolution image of our home planet viewed through the Orion Crew Module window by the Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon on Flight Day 2, 3 April 2026 (pic: NASA)

A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
