Her mother is a world famous designer, and her father is a well known photographer. They offered to pay her way through school, vacations, anything she wanted, but Marissa decided unlike her brother and sister, she wanted to work for her goals.
Her parents support her decision, offering to help is she ever changed her mind. She ended up taking up a job at the coffee shop near her university to pay for books and such. The owner, a dryad named Breylan, immediately took to the girl and became very close with her.
