Art. Black and white drawing made of abstract shapes and lines, that might look like a figure with a horse or cow skull and weird horns, seen from behind, looking to its right. One arm disappears out of frame, and the other is curled up to its chest, with the hands making a small gesture of blessing or dismissal.

A drawing from the last several evenings. Perhaps a mari lwyd having a bit of a dance

I think people have gone a little far with trying to avoid No True Scotsman. There *are* doctrinal boundaries that if a person vaults over them, it is unreasonable to say that their beliefs are Christian.
I think they got there with prosperity gospel crap. This is...something else, for sure.

Finding an EV large enough for several children is a challenge. Some are coming out this year at least.

It's really funny to me that Salt & Straw and Rocky Mountain Oysters are both on this list.

(Salt & Straw olive oil ice cream is amazing by the way)

And we're only upgrading the battery because we're moving far enough out that we need more range for regular trips. For around town, it's been totally fine. Once we could plug in at home, I rarely even think about the range.

I have a 2013 Leaf that started out with a pretty decent battery when I got it three years ago (and the battery is still good). It says it charges up to 64 miles, but it's probably more like a 50 mile range. I love it enough that we're upgrading the battery rather than buying a new one.

While I really love my 2013 Leaf, it definitely has its challenges with quick charging now that so many Chadaemo chargers are being shut down. I don't normally have to quick charge anymore, but if it's a thing you're worried about, a car with CCS is going to be better supported.

Ours is just plugged into a regular socket and it does fine for around town. We're putting a bigger battery in because we'll have longer drives soon and then maybe a level 2 charger would be warranted, but also maybe not since we'll be driving fewer days. It very much depends on your use case.

I think extremely young children think this, and by that I mean under 4 and possibly under 3. More often I think the adults want the kids to believe this.

Exception is Santa; so many parents lie about Santa that I'm sure far more kids are confused there.
(I am against lying about Santa)

I live in Oregon now so this is obviously untrue here

And it's also untrue of where I lived in Wyoming and Arizona.

You can pick depressing pictures from anywhere, sure, but you're picking.

William Jones was born in London; his father William Jones (1675–1749) was a mathematician from Anglesey in Wales, noted for introducing the use of the symbol π. The young William Jones was a linguistic prodigy, who in addition to his native languages English and Welsh,[3] learned Greek, Latin, Persian, Arabic, Hebrew and the basics of Chinese writing at an early age.[4] By the end of his life, he knew eight languages with critical thoroughness.[5]

Mine used to talk about things we used to do together when we were both children (until quite recently), and I am happy I have a kid with such a great imagination who likes to think about what if we had been kids together going on adventures.

No, I am not worried about 'declining' birth rates, I accept them as post-modern birth rates, the birth rates that naturally happen once the conditions are set that children can be expected to survive to adulthood reliably and that women are allowed to be educated and become full citizens.

Same with my eldest (who was my only for the better part of two decades). I don't want to hear how my child is supposed to contribute to society, I want to hear how society is planning to support my child.
