I'm going to try and stick with it but I am really not getting on with Returnal

Kinda funny that they didnt make World Tour run better, considering how hard Capcom have positioned it as the main "thing" of SF6.

Costumes for the main cast have been sidelined in favour of avatar cosmetics - itd make sense for them to actually make it run.

People want games to be considered as "art" until people actually critique them like art.

These people don't actually want games to be "art" - art is only the good stuff. Art is superfluous to them.

There is no space for nuance, or actual discussion.

Now that Pragmata is a video game that is out

I can finally say that it made me actually cry when I finished it

Tried to install Returnal and it totally bricked my PS5, so now it's just a lifeless object in my living room.

This was not what I needed today.

I'll be talking more about Pragmata in the coming days and weeks, but for now, Capcom have got another hit on their hands. So happy to see the same quality we've seen in Resident Evil and other legacy Capcom games be translated to a totally original IP.

fantastic timing, as I'm about a thousand and one words into my "nobody is wrong about Resident Evil Requiem except James" piece

In a lot of ways, I am a demographic for this movie. I get that it's an Illumination animated movie, but even as that, it's all over the place.

Fox being in the film (even if he gets a sick animated intro) does not make sense and only tears the focus even further away.

Watched the Mario Galaxy movie today

It was certainly an version of Mario Galaxy

A lot of missed potential - even as a fanservice oriented film, the focus felt all over the place and never had a cohesive direction.

Mario Galaxy is one of my favourite games of all time, so this even stings more.

Chrono Trigger was a frankly fascinating game to explore for the first time, and I'm glad I did. Even if the game forced me to play it twice.

And it had just a fine battle theme.
