Ability and knowledge doesn't go away from just stopping to do it a bunch of months, or even years, but I have the feeling my funny brain will just put the "draw personal stuff" engine away back in the shed. I don't know if that is good. Anyways...

Since I got the normie job and finished a long comm'd project I have felt no urge to draw anything other than the illustrations for GP.

I'm wondering if I should prod myself a little to do something along the way or if I should just wait until I really feel like I want to draw stuff in general.

If videos didn't occupy the same space as pictures in BS gallery, I'd do a long, long thread of OSTs of games, movies, etc, that I love, explaining why do I love each of them.

I find Satoshi Kon kinda boring. Craft immaculate, but the stories are gripless too me. Same as with Guillermo del Toro. I don't resent watching a movie by them, but by the end it's like 🤷‍♂️

I am fairly content with my abilities and confident in my craft but the numbers have never quite supported that personal perception, and I feel that to be a presence online you got to actually fight hard and be extremely produtive 24/7.

I had a bunch of things I've done become semi-viral and also a bunch of fairly successful comics and narrative stuff, mostly on twitter, and I got fans and clients and maybe even friends from that, but I don't feel I've ever made it past "horror artists somehow known by other horror artists online".

Hope somebody can hear me but if I ever get a home for myself I hope to install a conversation pit in there. It's very important to me.
