monster zero gave me caffeine, some hunger suppression, no nutrients. when suppression ends i'd snack like a demon desperate for calories

now caffeinating means a good 60g of protein plus some skim milk, so when it wears off i'm not starving, just normal hungry

game changer for me, a snack monster

fuckin' A man. great stuff

i found my personal hack was subbing out monster energy zero calories for making a double espresso on the moka pot, then adding milk and 60g of protein powder to it.

nothing like getting caffeinated and proteinized in one fell swoop. down 27lb or so in ~5mo

historian in the year 2400:

"we believe the plague began when human populations disrupted the fungal ecosystem, not knowing the fire only helped to trigger changes in genetic expression that turned these fungi into plague-bearing predators"

i mean, presumably we just found out they talk to each other, but it has been happening for millions of years so there's no reason to assume a turning point is at hand

we're down -3.9 kg, or 8.6 lb. 13% of the way.

body fat starting to come down too, ever so slightly, as per my cheap smart scale.

that's a reach, and believing this reach requires a very poor theory of mind of why and how humans choose to do things

the only future where this happens is a Trump win, and that is obvious if you take off the blinders for a hot second lol

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

i don't think Harris would be forcibly disappearing people, a thing she never said she would do, and that Trump very explicitly said many times ("deport the Hamas supporters")

you're conflating uphill battles with impossibilities, because you want things to be impossible in this system so you can shill your pet project

it's a blinding bias

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

right, this is just a childish and false vision of reality. there was bipartisan support to get money out in the 2000s. it stalled, but it doesn't have to

ie, ranked choice hurts the two parties already in power, yet it's been implemented at the state level. because there are more forces at play!

1 year ago 0 0 2 0

we just went over this - you're again conflating a benefit and a requirement, then following up with a non sequitur question and restating that only a hammer can hammer a nail

ever been to a town hall meeting? i would sooner set off every nuke on earth than choose to live in a direct democracy

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

you're doing the "when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" bit for direct democracy

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

we're not trying to spark joy - we were talking about changing the role of money in politics, and you threw your hands up in the air and said it was impossible because of (something false)

i pointed out the falsity, which implies your objection isn't valid and thus the idea remains uncontested

the process of making laws is in the hands of people who need to suck up to rich donors to get the money to be elected

that isn't a benefit to those elected, it's a requirement

it's the difference between your local school's curriculum being set by an unelected board of educators vs the curriculum being set by popular vote at town hall PTA meetings
