So sorry to hear of the death of Allan Ahlberg. Born in Croydon in 1938 he contributed so much to children’s literature - and his poetry book “Please, Mrs Butler” gave much amusement to children in classes I taught for obvious reasons!

Now that we have finally reached the end of term for all the LAs, schools and trusts with whom I am lucky enough to work, I would like to wish everyone a restful summer. You deserve it. Also, a big shout out to all the site teams who will be working so hard over the summer.
So much policy is built on shorttermism
I remember well taking my class for a street party in London for the 50th anniversary of VE Day, all togged up in their 1940s uniform. It seems like only yesterday. Great memories. This week I’m in Tewkesbury all week working with a fabulous school. #VEDay
Absolutely glorious day here in Gloucester where I will be for three days before moving on to work in a school in Coventry to end the week.
Adolescence on Netflix. Wow. A must watch!
Another week in Gloucestershire this week working with two wonderful schools. Made the mistake of booking them in during Cheltenham Gold Cup week. Accommodation prices are astronomical! Won’t make that mistake again. Anyway, have a good week all.
Parents: if you’re buying a coat online for your child this half term, save time and have it sent straight to lost property
Let me know when you’re next in town and we can meet up for real rather than virtually !
Back in Tewkesbury for the week to work with a wonderful school. Really looking forward to meeting all the staff and pupils again. Would be nice if it stopped raining!
I shall adopt this word, with your son’s permission
Oh, Gloucester, how I have missed you. Back in the city for work and looking forward to getting started.
Well this all feels very much more wholesome! #Edusky
