So basically, everything except Digivolving up to Level 3 (usually) costs Memory. It’s a gauge between both fields that starts at 0, and goes from 12 to -12. And as soon as your Memory goes under 0, your turn ends.

When I was actively playing the game I thought Digimon’s Memory mechanic was the best form of mana resource I’ve seen. Turning mana from Thing You Brick On to “Mind game with your opponent and risk/reward calculation” makes it so fun
