started skinning some topdown levels

normalmapped grue, from the early phase of deciding whether to do knuckle jet as prerendered 2d with normal maps or as a full 3d game with a 2d view and mechanics(dig how it looks but hires 2d eats a lot of texture memory compared to native 3d models,even more with multiple material maps per sprite)

old "action figure packaging" exploratory artwork to figure out the vibe for knuckle jet

made a pbr version of the teslagrad 1 final boss room stained glass window, figuring it might come in handy as a throwback somewhere in knuckle jet

anyway, i can do better, more natural tint transitions that people won't notice now to show the difference between indoor and outdoor areas (excuse the overblurred 3ds quality here, was recording at an extremely low res to meet bluesky file size restrictions)

Part of the style of Knuckle Jet is good old Saturday Morning Cartoons, with associated toys!

We loved the idea of this aestethic in a game.

this giant asshole (Grettir) got shipwrecked on the island i grew up on around 1000 years ago and he was enough of an asshole that people still talk about him. so much that i based one of the characters in teslagrad 2 on him

They would get a key at the same time as one of the O.G. Teslagrad Speedrunners and go up against them.

It would be Streamer versus the devs. They would get an early key and some time to train for the challenge, and then go live up against one of us at the office.
