I've met some scammers who want to *help* with my gofundme by setting me up with some viral marketer that may or may not work but apparently has helped them reach their goal

Thank you but my friend is not a scammer. He fits some of the profile but always asks in dalasi and said only one of his parents has died, the other is in Senegal
