I grabbed a small silicone set of utensils while I was a Dollarama today because they looked handy,
My youngest clocked them as soon as he walked in the room, asked about then examined them all, then ultimately agreed they looked helpful
This kid doesn't want to be a chef... Uh huh.
I find saturating cells really helps with getting things out of plastic cells smoothly,
I then place it into fairly dry soil when I'm up-potting and it seems to equal out okay

Truffle the Jack Russell Terrier being annoyed by being placed in a grow bag Our oldest JRT Poppy is absolutely obcessed with the girlfriend. Like screams in her kennel when she hears her voice, and while I don't like to reward that sort of behaviour, this is a very specific (the girlfriend) obcession and pretty adorable Poppy even gets mad when the youngests girlfriend comes over, and it's not the eldest's girlfriend.... She really is a sweet girl, and both Poppy & I will be very upset when they break up They're teens, they're more than likely going to break up, but they are a great couple for a lot of reasons
Since it was on their way my eldest's girlfriend grabbed the grow bags I'd ordered from a lady in the city

Tigris on the chair and Fred on the top of the stairs with Poppy the Jack Russell Terrier standing beside them Poppy is wearing a GPS Unit, it is NOT a corrective device Tigris & Fred don't really get along, they both have very strong personalities and that causes clashes, but they are getting much better as they get more used to each other and Tigris matures Fred is also a bit of a psychopath and likes to cause fights with everyone. It's not unusual to see him walk up to his best buddy Abby and smack her across the face just to get her to attack him Poppy likes to get in the middle of cat fights and breaks the up, obviously without hurting anyone. She does the same when the dogs play a bit too rambunciously for her likeing, which is why she's often seperated from the other Jacks. They get a long! She can just be a LOT and she prefers to hang out with people anyway, she doesn't really like other dogs
Apparently these dorks forgot they hate each other for a minute, or just decided to behave for a while fun-patrol Poppy was within range to break things up

I've gotten those cards as gifts from weddings but I've never had much luck growing flowers from them
I would have liked to have done a wildlfower mix but so many contain invasives and their yard is a sensitive habitat (on the river)
Glass vase, with packages of flower seed I used some flower foam on the vase, covered the bottom with some black ribbon and added some fake greenery into the vase The packages are taped to skewers and the flowers are fake She is a gardener so this is something they will use & I went with fake flowers in case the kids wanted to keep them for a bit They are young/pre teens and lost their dad who drank himself to death, its a hard situation Really not sure what I'm going to write in the card...
Can't take credit for the idea, I saw it online
But my friend's kids lost someone in their life so in lieu of flowers, flowers

Thrown up a little chunk of wood with some spacers to clip the grow lights onto then wire supported the arms of the grow lights I'm not worried about these not being outdoor safe because they're fully protected from the elements However the lumens (via my phone app which is not acurate) is only a few thousand right by the lights and a couple hundred at the basket with how overcast it is I think I'm going to end up having my youngest knock up a 2 pig-tail line we can plug in since the porch doesn't currently have power to it, I just need to find some grow lights are white and not crazy expensive OR I make him wire the porch, which we already want, and put in some directional pot lights with grow lights ideally
Quick proof of concept,
So far the restuls are that these grow lights really aren't bright enough for anything other than low-light needs house plants (which I already knew)
This porch is on the north side and gets no sun, but I think supplementing the light will work

Before I only had the chicken wire half way up the door
Put it over the whole door just to not need that middle bar which is hard to staple too nicely I need to grab some more bug screen but it's fine for today
On a roll fixing the things bothering me with the screen door finally, & no longer poking myself in the hand every time you touched the middle bar!
It's not pretty but I used what I had on hand & its most importantly done good enough
Chicken wire is for the pets bc bug screen won't keep them in
The number of dairy guys who used wear their barn clothes into town 😫
Thankfully the word is starting to get out and it's fewer and further between but it used to be rampant especially in the feedstore
I have sympathy, I have to run from lambing to a kid's hockey game too, but coveralls exist!
We have a necropsy lab in town, which is so convenient
I'm someone who'd drop off a questionably dead lambs even if it means major ramifications for my flock
We have lots of interactions between corvids & the RWBBs here
