We really are on our own. If I didn't know others, online, who are still masking I would feel even more alone. I'm so grateful for you and others in the Covid Cautious/Disability communities. 🩡

COVID-19 is a leading cause of death in children and young people in A new study led by researchers at the University of Oxford’s Department of Computer Science has found that, between 2021 and 2022, COVID-19 was a leading cause of death in children and young people

It still astonishes me that more people in politics and our media pretend to be concerned about kids having missed school than kids having been killed or sickened by Covid.

I don't/won't but the virus is mutating to infect other animals now, including pigs who have very similar respiratory systems to ours, and every single human infection is a dangerous lottery that could be the mutation that leads to human-to-human infection.

In the timeline of a rapidly evolving virus, that is not up-to-date news. They have determined the virus is replicating in the lungs of pigs (whose lungs are quite similar to ours) and tests were performed this year that concluded cows can contract the virus via airborne transmission. 😞

Unfortunately, epidemiologists predict it will be human-to-human within a year. It's already in loads of animals, some with very similar vascular and respiratory systems to ours.

19th century Vancouver Island land grant undermines First Nations rights | The Narwhal On Vancouver Island, privately owned forest poses a unique challenge for the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group, with territories around Cowichan Valley

Just 5 per cent of B.C. is private land β€” but for these Hul'qumi'num nations, 85 per cent of their traditional territories are privately owned, the legacy of a 137-year-old "land grab" by the province. Is there a path to justice? thenarwhal.ca/bc-first-nat...

I love it! Husband hauled all the stuff out of the basement today so I can decorate our tree tomorrow. We all need a little glowy light against the darkness. πŸ’–
