I would have hated to explain the concept of Pikmin amongst all the anarchy of character drop-ins.

I was really curious seeing this thinking much like the last one, how the meta humour/references would go down. They leaned into meta more on gags but I found it was just me chuckling in a busy cinema.

Highlight of the film was Yoshi being a cheerful version of Gromit.

Masahiro Sakurai definitely got his revenge for all the kids who YouTube’d SubSpace Emissary cutscenes before Brawl was out.

Mario Galaxy was a delightful romp with some character cameos wasted for the rich potential they had. The kids in costume at my cinema made it worth entry alone.
