🚨BREAKING!🚨

The UCP have officially voted to ditch the Electoral Boundaries Commission Report to appoint their own commission and draw their own maps!

Gerrymandering is official UCP policy in Alberta!

Contrary to her script, Smith didn't even show up for the vote.

The Supreme Court found that a school acknowledging the existence of LGBTQ people was such a violation of freedom of religion that they had to allow opt outs but now the 5th circuit says kids being exposed to the ten commandments isn't. The law is such a joke.

The privatization crisis at Canada Post Canada Post is under attack. Political favouritism, privatized delivery, and precarious subcontracting are putting workers and public service at risk. From Intelcom’s exploitative practices to the gov...

The brother of federal Industry Minister, Mélanie Joly, is the president and CEO of Intelcom, a courier company that exploits subcontracted delivery drivers for pennies per package. It stands to benefit mightily from the dismantlement and privatization of public postal services in Canada.

Facebook ad with the caption: “Vancouver’s left-wing parties have struck a back-room deal to limit competition…”. The image is a grid of 5 politicians- me, Pete Fry, Kareem Allam, William Azaroff, and Rebecca Bligh- in a dramatic dark sepia tone. It features the words “We cannot afford to go back” and “Chaos coalition”.

On April 1st ABC councillors unanimously signed on to the Elect Respect campaign. On Sunday they started running this ad. It’s almost comical at this point.

This story was breaking just as our Senate Standing Committee on Transport and Communications was deep in our morning hearing on AI. So just as the committee testimony wrapped up, I snuck in this question. #ableg #abpoli #YouTube #AI #cdnpoli #SenateofCanada #TRCM #Alberta #ForeignInterference

BLUESKYers: I am writing a section of a paper today. Send me all your examples of Trump's impeachable offenses. (If you want to be extra generous to me, include an authoritative source to go along with it.) GO!

Nobody wants leaders to publicly panic, but the very serious steps they’re taking to mitigate very real risks, are at odds with the public language and posture of these leaders

Because this whole situation is effectively caused by the US, we are taking serious steps to mitigate very real threats, while simultaneously downplaying the very threats we’re facing

This kind of thing is decades late but good to see happening somewhere!

I’ve been hanging out on the US departures check-in area because it’s so quiet. 😂

(No one is flying to the US?!?!?)

Indeed… so boring that one justice on the SCC is leaving and our gov will be replacing her… and I’m gonna guess most have no idea all this is happening.

Oh I was notified at 1am for my 9am flight. It got bumped to 4pm… But I got nothing to do so why wait elsewhere.

What I can’t work out is compensation policy.

Porter Airlines cancelled my flight and rebooked. Now I am just sitting on a bench at YUL killing time.

Not a good first impression, Porter Airline.

Interesting… I feel like he does this two step dance. First, he’ll say something profound to make people think, “Wow leader!” (Like this video.)

Then next he’ll push policy or do something that makes questionable… 🤨 (to put it nicely.)

I just don’t find him consistent to give me comfort.

The Dishonest Online Campaign to Support Alberta Separatism | The Tyee A research group raises red flags about foreign interference in the province’s independence referendum.

“I think if you just look at it more broadly, it suggests that there is very clearly an American-led attempt to normalize and amplify the idea of Alberta becoming the 51st state of the U.S. annexation. And the co-ordination effort is so obvious.”

Carney’s fuel tax pause rewards polluters.

Instead of capturing windfall profits for the public good, Ottawa is bankrolling fossil fuel companies and starving services needed during the #climatecrisis.

Extremely weird and revealing joke from Carney, even if he's riffing off the progressive conservative allegations. He's not beating em!

“No one is more scrutinized than me.”

That is such a old white privileged man (a la Trump) thing to say.
