it’s so freeing to add in visual gags and ideas that just come to me on a whim as i’m drawing the story! (instead of just writing everything down and hoping it works BAHAHA) i’ll probably have to change some stuff around i’m sure but i’ve been making myself laugh a lot with this so i’m happy!

happy day 54!! crazy it’s almost been 2 months now omg!! anywaaaays updates! currently i’ve got almost 2 scenes of rough boarding COMPLETED!! i’ll be getting some feedback on those today and then i’m gonna run them by my mentor as well! i’ve been having a LOT of fun making these actually!

happy ACTUAL day 49!! my IG messed up my counting BOO >:( BUT!! lots of progress today! finished up the first 3 points of my turnaround for gridman, worked out some kinks in the script, did a bit of rewrites, AND i’m getting close to finishing up the script!!

the first gridman sheet will be up in a couple days since i wanna do a join post on my main acc! so GET PUMPED. GET. CRAZY!!!

i think i'll add some expressions as well and for the pilot's i'll do a couple off-model poses (including.....the sickly slimed gridman.........) i'm planning to finish up my script by the end of this week AND! i'll be starting storyboarding this week too WOOHOO!! MONEY MOVES!!!

i've finished up gridman's basic character sheet HOORAY!! i'm currently working on his turnaround which is going a lot smoother than i thought it'd go!

so we’re making good progress! i’ve ALSO FINALLY. FINALLY. gotten a decent (almost) front view of Gridman for his character sheet YAHOO!! I’ve started drafting some ideas for Box’s as well, so money moves ARE happening!!

i wasn’t really feeling the structure of the script, so i spent some time yesterday rewriting and i think it’s a LOT stronger now! i definitely want to go back and punch up some jokes, but the focus as of now is making the story (relatively) cohesive. i’ve written around 6 pages/minutes

happy day 47 gang! first: we shall play taps in mourning of what is to come tonight (ending of smiling friends) 🎺🎺🎺🎺 SF was my inspiration for this idea to begin with back in the fall, and my drive to work towards animation, so i’ll really miss the stinky show!

happy day 34!! i’m gonna be a bit busier today since—between mail mixups and traffic—my day kinda got burned up…BUT!! you’re not here for that! 🫵🫵🫵 i spent the time on the bus brainstorming more interactions between the main guys during the pilot!

i think i’m reaching a dynamic i’m happy with after lots of trial and error, and i’m excited to see how it changes the plot from my silly og comic in the fall! i’ll definitely take a step back and double check though!
