This writing style was new for me, but it was a great way to think prospectively with Michelle about how we can consider exercise doses for ADHD populations in future work.

I was invited to write a commentary about a great meta-analysis by Pan et al. that uses MET dose-responses to examine executive functions in children with ADHD. My doctoral student, Michelle Lim, joined me in writing this piece, where we recommend some future considerations for our field.

Always proud of my lab - but especially excited to see them representing our group at Rhode Island BrainWaves today! A great family event each year bridging science education and communication within our local communities. Thanks for coming by our table and learning about “Exercise for your Brain!”

The hypothalamus is a small structure deep inside the brain that is connected to a vast number of other brain regions and tirelessly interacts with them. It controls and modulates many basic bodily functions to ensure the survival of the organism under constantly changing circumstances.

The #hypothalamus plays a large role in coordinating the neuronal signals that are responsible for keeping the body in a stable state.

A special issue unpacked this brain region’s impact on physiological and behavioral homeostasis. scim.ag/41FRESU #BrainAwarenessWeek
