Oh Blair, this was beautifully written and lovely and sad and all the things at once. I still hold that trip to the lodge and getting to meet and hang out with you and getting to connect with and then mush the dogs as one of my best memories. Love you tons.

That’s true on both counts. I did just call them creepy though because just the thought of it maybe being an adult is making my skin crawl. I’m not one for running around and calling people names but the same thing happened with JK on X bc he no longer looks innocent. It’s just gross and I’m done.
I’m about to start telling them to question their proclivities if they want grown ass men to look like teens. On top of everything else, it’s creepy AF.

Izzy is a whopping 11 pounds and yet somehow just managed to eat half of a really large cucumber before I caught on. That’s honestly impressive. Clean up later may not be fun though.
Well, it’s not out yet so we’ll see. I feel like I have a ticking time bomb in me. I’m sure in part for me is that I went from being really good about drinking water to really not.
It’s my first and good lord, the morning I actually felt it the first time it was awful. I felt something the night before, but it was more like pressure so I decided to stay in bed and go to the bathroom in the morning. Well, 7 AM hit and good god that hurt. That was a trip to the ER.

Luckily after that first morning it hasn’t been super painful. I mean, not fun, but nothing like that. I pop the extra strength Motrin they gave me and am fine pretty fast. I just feel like I have a ticking time bomb in my bladder.
Why on earth does anything that happens with this stupid kidney stone, it’s at 7AM almost on the dot? Seriously. That’s when I first felt it. It moved the other morning at 7:03 and this morning at 7:02. Maybe not a big deal to some of you, but I normally get up at 9 and I am NOT a morning person.
Reading today, I see people still don’t understand that the rule of law has to apply equally to everyone equally, or it will apply to no one. It has to apply to Comey, to trump, to you, and to your favorite pet politicians *who like the stripper, really do like you.* This is why we are here.
I’ll be honest, idk if I’ll ever feel secure in my job at this point. I’m hoping this is the only cut for a long time, but we’ll see. At least my company does pretty decent severance. I am keeping my eye out for jobs in case something looks good.

I swear Izzy thinks I’m eating something when I take my temperature. She’s immediately awake and quite put out that I don’t share.
Yeah, everything has been pretty stressful. We lost a ton of government funding which has hit us hard. One of my shows also had its funding cut completely (which was a stupid choice but that’s another story). So I wasn’t at all sure I would stay.
Somehow I made it through this round of staff cuts. I honestly didn’t expect to.
Wish people would stop saying Trump has done a U-turn on Ukraine. He does this every few weeks. Putin then makes a violent point of ignoring him. Trump's alleged change of heart is just a prelude to his next humiliation by Putin.
Well, they aren’t on the MyChart app, which makes it more difficult. I do understand needing proof that it’s me getting the records. The Dr’s office refusing to send the request in the first place is bullshit though.
Istg, it took longer to travel to the hospital (let alone round trip) to pick up my records than it actually took for them to pull my records and give me a copy. They did call the dr’s office lazy though so there’s that. 🤣 At least everyone I’ve dealt with from the ER to today have been super nice.
In other news, I’m really over the continuously sudden MUST PEE NOW that is happening.
It’s the little frustrations w medical offices that might drive me batty. Dr: Have the hospital fax or email your files to us. Hospital - we need a faxed request from the dr’s office. Dr - we don’t do that. They should just send it over. H - we don’t do that.
