But my message was also a little bit exacgerated for dramatic effect. I understand that people need to do research or are curious. So I check all accounts before I unfollow. And only unfollow, if they have posted very obvious AI slob recently.

I've also read a lot about this technology. And all I see is that it's a very complicated and complex guessing machine that re-assembles the most likely outcome based on all the stuff that humans have made before. I'm not saying this cannot be useful. But its far from a universal technology.

We don't need AGI to cure cancer, we don't need LLMs. We need highly specialized machine learning algorithms (which is what AI was called before marketing).

The technology behind LLMs don't think, they don't reason. They just put out randomized probability. We need to invent new tech to make AGI.

I truly believe that AGI is at least 100 years away, and more realistic 500 years. For now it's nothing more than a marketing claim for an especially okay chat bot that can steal images and can half-ass a coding assignment.

We should not take any claims of AGI serious.

The AI slob on YouTube must be enormous. I have a Google Alert for my game NEON HOPE, and every month I get more and more alerts about some random AI generated video that uses the words "neon hope" in their desciption or title.
