Here's a little blerb from your resident Slime scientist of their encounter with this specific Slime;
"While exploring deep within the recesses of an ancient cave gathering further research for my studies, I found the old remains of what seemed to be a Gorgon of some sort. Had it perished at the hands of some glory-seeking knight? Or had it simply withered away with age, forgotten and unseen, like so many of us do? I couldn't tell you. But, after searching the cave for any lost treasures or artifacts, I was suddenly attacked! A long, serpentine creature darted through the dark, obscuring its form using the many stone warriors around me. I cast a simple spell, illuminating my surroundings more than my crude torch could. To my surprise, what I had initially thought was just another Gorgon turned out to be a Slime, once again demonstrating their remarkable skills of mimicry! With its form made visible, it rose, displaying an expression that almost seemed like anger. As I stared at it, I soon found my body began to feel numb, almost as if I'd been out too long in the cold! I escaped with haste, surprised at this occurrence. Had it developed a similar ability to a Gorgon? Could such a thing occur? I soon learned later upon talking to the townsfolk who lived nearby, the Slime, in an attempt to mimic the long dead Gorgon, stole a helm with a special stone embedded in it. The stone was imbued with a restraint spell, and is normally worn by the town's gate guardsmen, to aid in fending off bandits and the like. What an ingenious use of such a simple tool! I must look further into similar cases, perhaps Slimes are more intelligent than even I thought!"
