Basically I think hope the system will save us in 2026 is dangerous. And for any folks who do want that as an option, we still need HEAVY pressure on dems. We would need congress to be filled with dems who actually push back and fight creatively, without allegiance to capital.

Passing bills makes things easier, but I think an uncooperating congress won’t block this admin from taking executive actions which cause real harm. Even today, the CDC was silenced (until feb 1).

Project 2025 was going to sidestep Congress anyway right? I think hoping our institutions still work two years from now is dangerous. (Sorry for pushing back, I really respect your work, I just think we need to embrace the risk to our democracy right now as pretty existential)

The longer this admin is in power, the more it becomes like Orbán’s admin imo. As in, the rules are shifted so it’s legally possible but practically impossible to remove them from power.
