Hard to compare. Succession was great, but Severance is an all-time great. Succession's storyline has been done and redone, but Severance is unique. The show is "mysterious and important." :-)

An important article. I will get the book on 1/7 when it is released. It brings to mind The "Categorization" chapter of Kate Crwaford's "Atlas of AI."

NotebookLM gets a new look, audio interactivity and a premium version
NotebookLM is introducing new features, and a premium version called NotebookLM Plus.
Google's NotebookLM (one of my favorite AI tools) got some updates today:
🙋 Ability to interrupt the AI audio overview & ask questions (just tested this & it worked great)
🧹 A cleaner layout
💲 Paid option with higher limits on everything

This article fleshes out something I've been thinking about regarding the rise of Rump. "Politics lives downstream from culture."

I agree that the drop-down menu lesson planners are too limiting, but I find the chatbots useful. I have created several custom GPTs to help plan lessons for particular audiences or with a particular emphasis.

I agree about the lesson planners. Wouldn't it be great to create interdisciplinary lessons with authentic tasks that address SEL, UDL, DEI, etc.? Sure, but who has time to plan something like that? AI can can at least get us started down this path. Naturally, it takes a more thoughtful prompt.

Respectful devil's advocate: AI IS here to stay. Can we teach Ss about AI without giving them access at school? I think AI lit should be included within the umbrella or #medialiteracy, or dare I say, literacy.
