Ya know what I was doing? Nailing field sobriety tests and being the nicest prisoner in Douglas county

Ya know what I wasn’t doing? Singing sea shanties and I was driving 2mph too fast. That was on me. 79 in a 70. We would have been fine. 81 in a 70👍

I must admit the sea shanties were being performed at Broadway levels of excellence and I could tell how much energy you all were putting into your seemingly flawless, choreographed swaying. You guys really nailed it.

And we both laughed as he drove off with a $400 tip. But he earned it. He was there. Middle of nowhere field near echo fest.

But sure as shit he was there! So we get all the way back to hotel and I’m like I gotta tip this guy huge so I give him like $200 and then we all pile out and @thejediswitch.bsky.social went out the other side and when we met at back of van he whispers “I can’t believe he showed. I tipped him $200”

No that was a different night. Fucked in a different way. Short version we got hosed by CID and our group of 12 had no ride at last sec. Called a guy from the phonebook with a car big enough for us all. He dropped us at like 9pm in some field near the fest and said he’d meet us in the field at 4am

On a highway through cornfields in the middle of nowhere, halfway between Lawrence, KS and KC, MO

And when the power came back on they let me go back to the waiting area. After 6hrs I was released on my own recognizance and the woman told me “I was the nicest prisoner they’ve ever had” but then I had to wait four more hours for those assholes to finally wake up and come get me

No I took one for the team. But I wasn’t aggressive or fucked up so they let me sit in the waiting area. That is until the power went out in the jail and then they put me in a cell for a couple of hours in complete darkness while peaking and listening to the screams of the other “alleged” criminals

Also you didn’t hitchhike home 40miles. You sat on the side of an empty highway for about 5min before two older German gentleman in a convertible cruised up and said “Do you boyz need a ride?!!” Then you slept for 4more hours than I was even in jail.

Oh right. I should be giving you a lot more credit here. I didn’t realize that during the 30min field sobriety tests that I NAILED btw, that you fell asleep.

So when he says ok you passed all the tests but we need you to blow and I say can I consult my lawyer he says no calls and I said no he there
