Surprisingly good list at #Middletonlakes this morning 5GWE 4Dunlin Ringed Plover Singing Chiffchaff Singing Redwing all 3Woodpeckers 30Siskin Great Black-backed Gull and a Red-legged Partridge as well as all the usual stuff but in mild but horrible rain so the photos are rubbish

All done now Garganey on west scrape Barnacle Goose with main flock 4+Stonechat 9Egyptian Geese report of Dunlin.
Skylarks continuing through overhead and small flock of Siskin by feeders
Oh I forgot to say the Jack Snipe was still on Jubilee south but flew across to North West corner.
Much the same as yesterday at #middletonlakes but the floods have gone female Marsh Harrier still on NPit Ruff and Redshank on Jubilee 6Skylark over and 4Mipit

Warm damp morning at #middletonlskes brightened by first (for me) Redwing of the autumn plus a flick of 70+ Golden Plover which circled Jubilee for 10 - 15 minutes but did not land
Also Ruff Stonechats and a big flick of Redpoll

Schitzophobic weather at #middletonlakes this morning with sun and cold mists alternating. Quiet except for one mad minute when with Marsh Harrier Buzzard Kestrel and Hobby one after the other also 4GWE Green Sand 2Goosander Kingfisher and 9Siskin Sparrowhawk and Barn Owl
Quiet cold start at #Middletonlakes today until the sun came out as did 2 of these little beauties on NPit

There were a lot of them in the Southern Meadow at Middleton Lakes this morning, I had 5 along the track in the meadow and others on the bund. So good to see as I didn’t get any last year on the reserve
There were 2 Hobbies hunting on North pit ad well as the one we saw

Warm grey morning at #middletonlakes 12Blackwit 2Green Sand 1Common Sand 2Sparrowhawk Hobby Swufts and all 3hirundines only 2LRP in sight and loads of juveniles of many species
Another wet day at #middletonlakes 6Green Sand 4GWE 2Common Sand 8Common Tern 12LRP but NO Avocet 1Blackwit + plethora of hirundines and Swifts and young warblers everywhere
Water levels well up on Jubilee but both scrapes and Canal Pool have plenty of exposed mud.
Amazing how small they all look against the goose 🥺
A bit short on the Chiffchaffs there Steve I had 14 singing just around Southern Meadow. The air was full of Chuffs and Cetti’s today.
It is also a great day for Skylarks over with 14 so far also Mipits Stonechat Sparrowhawk and I still have SMeadow to do 😎
