There are not that many GREAT movies. Maybe 500 or 1000.
Streaming services have long tail of thousands of mediocre or terrible ones, and very few great ones. Its just better to buy them in blu ray.

I don't think his films are intellectual. They're pretty standard narrative movies, well executed, but always with some kind of twist (time, space, memory, Dreams, etc.). I find all his movies interesting and worth watching. Not masterpieces but solid.
