I believe in Mark Carney and know he is the right person for the job at this moment in our history. This next election is too important for Canadians for me just to walk away so that’s why I look forward to representing Montrealers once again as their MP. Vive le Canada!

Congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and cabinet. In my roles as Minister, I gave it my all, every day, for Indigenous Peoples and for the newest of Canadians. I would have liked to continue, but I have no regrets. I loved every minute, no matter how difficult the job.

Why Canada Is Giving Mark Carney a Shot The former central banker will become the next PM, and many Canadians see him as the best hope in the Trump era.

“Asking about Carney’s CV is “like asking someone whether War and Peace is a good book,” says Miller, who backed him to take over from Justin Trudeau. “It’s a f***ing good book.””

‘No certainty’: Immigration minister says feds will know more about Trump tariffs at the same time as Canadians Immigration Minister Marc Miller says that with just days to go before U.S. President Donald Trump’s 30-day tariff reprieve expires, there’s been no indication whether Canada can avoid the levies.

“The challenge I face is I can’t take any of that for granted, and I need to be able to leave it all out there and fight for Canada as much as I can,” he added, categorizing the meetings between officials as “good,” and “productive.”
