“Many women … will now be burdened with unsubstantiated concerns about how their choices might endanger their pregnancy. Whatever they choose, there is a pathway for them to be blamed.”
I’m thankful the ever insightful @katewomersley.com has weighed in on this.

Thank you @visualplague.bsky.social 🙏
As always @katewomersley.com provides the best antidote to the far-right anti-science nonsense poisoning the public sphere: "Pregnant women deserve so much better than Trump’s theatre of scaremongering and shame" www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Yes 📣 @katewomersley.com 📣
"This political theatre highlights a longstanding and harmful problem: pregnant women, and their babies, are routinely let down by partial, poor-quality and missing medical evidence."

Delighted to be reviewing this for @thelancet.com and that there is an appreciation for how feminist economics has a profound influence on health and medicine

This is not the way you ask a question in a research study.
More women in cardiovascular trials still needed (and CVD trials are pretty good compared to other medical specialties...)

Happy ginger cat appreciation day! 🐈
Important and overdue. Most parents I know who can afford to have been opting in to Chicken pox vaccination for their kids. This will remove significant socioeconomic inequality.
Maternity scandals, physical and psychological birth trauma, limited and costly childcare, inflexible workplaces, rising costs in every domain. The UK isn’t making parenthood exactly appealing.

Physicians assistants upset that their work opportunities/over-reaching have been curtailed by the Leng review; but PA union was all too dismissive of these same impacts when they affected doctors due to PAs being rolled out across the NHS.

“When I talk about fish on Bluesky, people ask me questions about fish. When I talk about fish on Twitter, people threaten to murder my family because we’re Jewish.”
You are, in the next few months, going to see a few pro-AI people who start trying to morph into "thoughtful cynics" on the issue, and I can't wait, because I've been taking such detailed notes
“Sophie left a note for her father and me, but her last words didn’t sound like her. Now we know why: She had asked Harry to improve her note, to help her find something that could minimize our pain and let her disappear with the smallest possible ripple”
“I fear that in unleashing A.I. companions, we may be making it easier for our loved ones to avoid talking to humans about the hardest things, including suicide. This is a problem that smarter minds than mine will have to solve. (If yours is one of those minds, please start.)”

First day ever. Moderation, please, this is Germany!
In Germany kids are given a schultüte on their first day at school - essentially a Christmas stocking of goodies. My Scotland-born daughter was counting her lucky stars for those Köln roots this morning.
Also, age should encompass inclusion of children and neonates where appropriate. They are also underserved by healthcare research
Excellent to see this commitment to include older adults in research. Cries of ‘wokery’ will be fewer & quieter for the protected characteristic of age, yet the principles of equity and inclusion are the same as with sex, gender, ethnicity & pregnancy status. All matter
