Yesterday a new release landed on my label Frosti from Scottish musician The Lost Past Society : frostilabel.bandcamp.com/album/transm...
It's a stunning album in the form of a fictional radio station style mixtape (lots more about the concept in the Bandcamp description!)...

2. Wanna see the unabridged version of the interview I did with Paul McCartney just after the release of Electric Arguments in 2008? His quote about Carnival of Light still makes me laugh.
The walk from the Station was great. Him pointing out mad stuff with his walking stick, stopping to talk to street drinkers, then we did the interview in a studio run by the guy out of the Enid which was one of the only places left where he could chain smoke weed indoors.

Ah, but maybe time for a new origin story?
I wonder if this is where @scannerdot.com took inspiration for his name from?
Just remembered “Energy In Northampton”, a song commissioned by the Northampton Development Corporation to promote Northampton, in which aliens visit Northampton
Silently they came one night / attracted by the glowing light / their scanners led them to the town Northampton

The juxtaposition of this Boards of Canada story with a local news story below couldn't be more apt, as if a screen grab from this mysterious BOC VHS tape.
