It's Chanukah in April!

5060 but i got this computer cheap. Half convinced it fell off a truck. Not asking questions.
They are scared out of their minds about BYD. They should be, they are awesome cars for the money.
New toy.
Agentic systems are headless.
You build on a workstation, deploy, then trigger + monitor from your phone.
If you need a GUI to run your agents, they’re not really autonomous—they’re just scripts with a UI.
Macs are great dev boxes. No argument. But “local AI infrastructure” is a stretch.
Most agent workloads are orchestration + I/O, not compute-bound. Decouple inference and the same stack runs on a Pi or $300 box.
You’re paying for UX, not execution.
LOL only for people with too much cash to burn. I have my production agents on Raspberry Pi’s. Try ZeroClaw, people, on a 2GB system. And 8GB is luxury. 16GB? Openclaw or Hermes beast. @raspberrypi.com
Fascinating.
Works great but I had to make some net new additions for Claude which required me to add them to OpenClaw as well. Multi platform. Working on copilot, Hermes, ZeroClaw and a few others
I used Claude Code to build InvestorClaw. It never occurred to me to have Claude Code run it. Pointed Opus at a spec, it shipped the plugin in one session. Screenshot → vision-extract → dashboard. One conversation. gitlab.com/perlowja/InvestorClaw

InvestorClaw: Portfolio analysis skill for OpenClaw. Reads broker CSVs, runs deterministic math, synthesizes cross-account analysis you can bring to your FA. Runs on a Pi. Stonkmode commentary from fake Cable TV hosts. Apache 2.0 Dual-Licensed. gitlab.com/perlowja/InvestorClaw

New essay: "Beyond the Demo." Every design decision behind InvestorClaw — deterministic math, anti-fabrication controls, guardrails at output, and a test harness where robots review robots. Long read. On purpose.
You don’t need a Mac Mini to run OpenClaw. I’m testing InvestorClaw on 8GB and 2GB Raspberry Pis. Cloud does inference. Pi does everything else. If your skill is designed right, the local hardware just needs to be sufficient. gitlab.com/perlowja/InvestorClaw

GOAL! Last game of the season

@tiernanray.bsky.social you’ll like it
In case anyone’s curious about my latest open-source project: one of the core features is Stonkmode — real portfolio data, real analysis… delivered by completely unhinged fake TV finance personalities. It works because the data works.
53 years to go back to the Moon. We threw away the hardware that worked, replaced it with a Shuttle that went nowhere, and hollowed out the companies that built Apollo.
The autopsy, not the thought experiment.

What if IBM never fell? It is the biggest "what if" in computing, the existential scenario that did not transpire. Thoughts many people in our industry have had but never spoken out loud.

So “Thrash” on Netflix is Sharkhurricane.
I wrote it for the nerds and veterans.
