I haven't found many nicer ways to spend a lazy day off than reading a lovely old games mag while soaking up some sun.

Ten years ago today we shipped Firewatch. I say this every anniversary but it feels both like a lifetime ago and like it was yesterday. Thank you everyone who played it back then or played it today for the first time. Thank you to everyone on the team, I’m still so proud of what we made.
Lovely to see Goemon get the collection love (well, in Japan, anyway). Would have been nice to have seen the N64 titles in there, too but beggars 'n' all that jazz. Takes me right back to Jonathan telling me off for spending too long on a background for N64 mag stuff.
Loving the N64 Magazine nods 😃 💛❤️💙💚
A row of debug PS2 consoles with names including DENNIS HOPPER (reliable, runs old games and test code), RASPUTIN (very old + dead), and JOHNNY CASH (old and unreliable).
Old photo from the PSM days. Debug PS2s were so temperamental that we had to give them names to reflect their personalities. They all had their own quirks and flaws and weird sounds they made. Some would run certain games, others wouldn't. Not pictured: Tom Cruise, the one that always worked.

A record-breaking 19,003 games were released on Steam in 2024 - up from 14,309 in 2023.
Game release competition continues ballooning year-on-year, with fewer than 500 released back in 2013.

Did a post over on LinkedIn regarding gaming events and how much effort it is to run them, and that you really should support them the best you can, before they are all gone.

Honestly, we don’t expect to cross the finishing line at this point, but we’d love to know how much interest there is for attempt #2
Can we be cheeky and ask for a share? Maybe, just maybe… We can do this!

We'd love to bring you this celebration of 2024 in indie gaming! More than an issue's worth of brand new content with expanded and updated features from our first 7 issues too, in a gorgeous 220-page hardback book. Please share if you can and spread the word :) x

The demo was excellent - really looking forward to playing the full game 😃
Alastair Low and John Riggs at the Debug Awards 2024
Did you know… YOU can attend the Debug Indie Game Awards in person at Metronome, Nottingham!
21 February 2025. See you there?

Absolutely, this!
I write a regular column for @debugmag.com as well as other wonderful industry peers. Previous topics include "So You Want To Be An Indie Video Game Developer?", "The Joy of Limitations", "From the Players Perspective" and this new “What Tetris Can Teach A Game Dev”. Grab a copy, digital or physical
We're off to a great start with this - thank you to everybody who's in so far! If you love indie games, take a look...
Apparently developers are being put off submitting their games for the Debug Indie Game Awards because they assume we charge for nominations and/or trophies…
Apparently many other awards ceremonies charge quite a lot of money 🤔
To be clear, entering a game for our awards costs absolutely nothing!
Wow a quarter of the way there - thanks so much to everyone who's backed the Debug Annual so far x
This is a biggie! Literally! A 220-page Debug annual, hardback, over half of it is brand new content (it's essentially more than a whole new issue) plus expanded features from previous issues, reviews for games we missed and so much more! But we need your help to make it happen.
Here we go again! The Debug Indie Game Awards are coming on February 21st 2025 at the Nottingham Metronome. Tickets are on sale and game submissions are open NOW! See you there! #DebugAwards2025
Happy birthday!

A brand new issue of a print magazine about indie games?! Sqquuueeeeeeeeee
I was forever writing to games mags in the 90s - the buzz of seeing my name in print was unmatched! I wonder how tough it would be to get kids to engage with print these days?My daughter loves Debug and the other mags I buy but then she's grow up with me as her dad with boxes of mags everywhere 😅
That Mario 64 review is legendary!
