I've always loved how they could make their limited tech and resources accomplish so much. It pinched them into a stylized campy thing that has such great character. And those pressure points, absolutely. Digging into the societal 'hard conversations' with a fanciful and entertaining touch. Love it.

Getting Blender figured out and leaving Max behind. Here's an old tapedeck and TV i had in the late 80's-early 90's - Built in Blender, textured in Substance and rendered in Unity (complete with working TV). Next up, a receiver and record player. Gotta be able to dub tapes off vinyl... obviously.

I like being in my early 50's - so much changing, refining, shedding of useless or harmful habits and taking up healthy ones. It's all too much for a little post, but the juxtaposition between my mental state and the current social/political climate is stark. Weird time to get my shit together.

Alright - i'll start making more of an effort to post here. I've been so heads-down in trying to use my unemployed time to learn new tools and make progress on projects that i haven't been communicating much at all. The Twitterish word-limit is a challenge (as always), but i'll give it a shot.

Arooj Aftab at the Crocodile last night was nothing short of transcendent. I'm still swirling in it. Here's something far better than any video i was able to capture and a perfect introduction:

Edging over to the bluesky world a little more today. Social media in general is slipping further from my immediate attentions, but i do like to stay connected to all the good peoples and hear what everyone is up to.

Feelin' like maybe? I've also been getting tired of social media and just all the mass transfer of "information" in general, but i also see the worth in some of it. I'm looking to give it carefully measured amounts of my time and then focus the rest of my energy on learning and being creative.

While signing up for Bluesky, i discovered there's a new Friendster being built. I'm so conflicted!
