I’m by no means an expert, but I think where politics here in the US are very top-down from corporations and moneyed interests, in the UK there seems to dovetail much more with upper class identity and the arbiters of “respectable” culture.

There’s some kind of unique cultural power the UK ascribes to their upper class. It transcends simply being a billionaire.

She’s a white woman who points the barrel of bigotry at the “right” targets so everyone else has permission to malign them. British feminism has always needed out groups.
