It is not enough just to hate genAI. You do also need to support real artists- buying product, subscribing to their memberships, and most importantly for free by giving rebleets and comments. Outrage is not enough, there also needs to be undeniable support.
Sometimes it feels like there are 2 ppl in me and for 1 of them things are going really good/easy. they’re having a great time. the other 1 is having an Ody “all I hear are screams” moment nonstop every day at the cliff side. there is no way to reconcile or calm down these two things.
I feel like some cuisines really figured out vegetables. Like some were like “any vegetable can become a dip if you mash it and season it enough” and they were right and also better than anyone else.
Not comics, but I feel a similar thing with writing. I get a lot of ideas of how to write about it when I'm going through it but when I come out of it enough to pick up the pen, the ideas seem to evaporate or feel like too much to share.

Have you ever had a character who should appeal to you in every way, but instead they’re just so boring. For me it’s always the characters who otherwise would be appealing but every other character acts like they are The Most Ever. Immediately my dislike heightens dramatically. #amreading #booksky

Comps aren't required, really. You can compare it based on vibes. Idk your work, but like. One of my old (being reworked rn) novel ideas was "gay pirate ladies in an Arthurian legend retelling." Agents aren't usually concerned with comps as much as they are your concept and how well you present it.

See, I try to make myself write something every day. That way, if nothing else, I'm closer to my goals and have something to work with. But like, days like the last few, it's nice to be able to get more out more easily. Like the difference between a creek and a river almost. Lol.
