For any DC folks interested, I'm going to be speaking at St. John's Church on Lafayette Square this Sunday. My goal, if I can manage it, will be to give an overview of what's happened in the last year with immigration, putting it in historical context, and arguing why it should matter to all of us.
I just wrote a @theactionnetwork.bsky.social letter: Ban Tear Gas in Portland. Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/stop...
PCEF is meant to help populations on the frontlines of climate impacts, but Mayor Wilson has proposed diverting PCEF dollars toward a Moda Center remodel!?!!
Click this link to easily send an email to the mayor & city councilors, and tell them - do not raid PCEF: tinyurl.com/handsoffpcef

After a successful discharge petition, the House approves a bill forcing the Trump Administration to give some 350,000 Haitians in the U.S. a temporary legal immigration status - letting them stay in the country. 10 GOP lawmakers voted Yes.
I’ve been waiting for this endorsement. Donating now!
The over 300,000 Haitian TPS holders in America are essential workers & valued community members.
Ending TPS for Haiti would be devastating and destabilizing for our communities, our economy, and our country.
Unmentioned here but there will also be a vote on the first-ever successful discharge petition in the House to extend a grant of Temporary Protected Status (specifically for Haiti)!
David does excellent work, and this entire thread is worth reading.
A little-known law that lets the government sidestep the Constitution and spy on US citizens is set to expire, and we’re worried some Democrats could join the GOP to reauthorize this civil liberties disaster.
Urge your Members of Congress to vote NO on any legislation that reauthorizes Section 702.
I’m grateful for Indivisible Pacific County’s support. I share their vision of a future free from fascism, where everyone is treated equally and with respect in our nation. We can accomplish amazing things and move mountains as long as we all work and stand together in the fight.
Portland residents, @portlanddsa.bsky.social learned that a local company called Sightline Intelligence is shipping lethal drone tech to Israel. Take 2 mins to click & ask electeds to look into Sightline, which uses PDX area footage in its chilling promo materials: actionnetwork.org/letters/sigh...
Holy Cow!
portland city council will vote on a ~major~ resolution to allow more homes to be built through the entire central eastside a week from today.

Thank you for this reporting! I’m a very happy Western Edge subscriber:)
The Keep Portlanders Housed package would direct $55 million toward eviction prevention, renter stabilization, and affordable housing production. Portland City Council’s Housing and Permitting Committee will consider this on April 7. Submit written testimony by 2 pm tomorrow or show up to testify.
having witnessed the absolute commitment and tenacity that made the Hygiene4All hub a reality in the first place, i can safely say this:
any dollar you give towards the rebuild will be put to better and more effective use than any other dollar you've parted with in your entire life

The American people are firmly against Trump’s war of choice with Iran. Email your Members of Congress and urge them to do everything in their power to end Trump’s illegal war: act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran...

Haven’t had time to read this yet but it looks interesting. Predatory lending sounds like a gateway drug to extortion

Stop this war before it escalates further—
NO funding
NO boots on the ground
