what i like so much about this website is that in the comment sections of posts.. you don't see unrelated comments or videos. i always hated that i couldn't see actual opinions because everyone chased clout.

i heard saint maud was like that, but i ended up loving it for how bizarre the characters were. tackling religion in horror can be tricky, but when it's done right..... ah great!

i wonder how come i've never heard of skinamarink? it came out in 2022.. the trailer for it was interesting. it sorta reminded me of a better ver of paranormal activity or marble hornets. hm, it's on hulu. i think i'll take my chances. found footage films can be hit or miss.

A recommendation: RESURRECTION (2022), featuring an absolutely blistering and feral performance from Rebecca Hall. I'm hesitant to share too much of what this movie has going on, but it's about someone from Hall's past re-entering her life and causing many of her foundations to crumble. Evil movie!

2024 immaculate & the film weaves a haunting tapestry of uncanny characters that challenge the conventions of the religion-horror trope. the ending's raw emotion and vulnerability transforms a seemingly ordinary scene into a haunting spectacle. feral & dreadful. would recommend.
