Five unpainted Einhyr Hearthguard
I found the Hearthguatd box! Locked in and built the whole squad for #HobbyStreak day 457
Thank you ๐
An Einhyr Champion painted in dark green armour with yellow runic details, grey and metallic weapons, and a dark grey rubble terrain base
Champion finished for #HobbyStreak day 456! I really like the Einhyr armour aesthetic so a squad for her to lead may be next (I may have a box somewhere...)
With just a tinge of fairness to GW, that new Chaplain isn't Blood Angel specific, but...
Yeah. The whiplash reversal away from Primaris being a distinct style is going to be a weird ride
Thank you ๐
This is my second take on Votann, so hopefully it sticks this time, but I'm already much happier with the scheme
An Einhyr Champion painted in dark green, with yellow runes, grey and metallic weapons, and a grey rocky base
Didn't get quite as far as I'd wanted for #HobbyStreak day 455, but I've got all the colours blocked in and the base is textured
Congrats on the new gig, and best of luck for Wednesday!
An Einhyr Champion painted dark green with off-white runic details and grey weapons
Slowly figuring out how to apply my Votann scheme to the Einhyr armour for #HobbyStreak day 454
The jumpsuit grey won't be as visible so I'm considering using it elsewhere on the armour, but I also like the green and (eventually) yellow
*day 453 ๐
Congratulations and well done!
I am eagerly waiting rules for a Chaos version, or at least something in the same class, so I can get my hands on it!
(Apologies in advance for the butchery it'll suffer on my conversion table, it's meant with respect ๐
)
Yes! Such a cool feature, and really fun getting tags from people who've travelled from all over
I love it! Makes Terminators look almost reasonable
An unpainted Votann Einhyr Champion with an axe and helmet with an open faceplate
Treating myself to a character build for #HobbyStreak day 463 with an Einhyr Champion
Has anyone else noticed how much the Einhyr armour looks like an Orrus Spyre rig?
I really like hover, that's a very clever touch
I had a similar experience trying to use those cool fluorescent oils for plasma glows
10 Hearthkyn, including one Ironkin, painted with grey jumpsuits, green armour with yellow shoulder stripes, brown leather, and metallic details on bases of grey rubble or stone
That's the squad finished for #HobbyStreak day 452, pictured with their 10th member, the brave test for this scheme.
Pretty pleased to have them all done so quickly (for me)... Damn it, I may have batch paint more often ๐
I actually really like GW's Munitorum Varnish. It's as prone to frosting as any spray varnish is, but on a good weather day it's kind of a satin finish that mostly leaves metallics with a shin, but doesn't appear glossy on non-metallics
I wish I had some useful contacts to justify getting a sneak peak - hope you can get it out there!
Interesting... Not sure on this one. It's cool visually, and there's not much else it could be, but I think I'd need to see the distinction between with and without gunner (rotary cannon / ion beamer) - unless you don't plan on using those upgrades
9 Hearthkyn on paint handles, painted with grey jumpsuits, green armour with yellow shoulder stripes, brown leather, and metallic details
Bases textured, shade applied, and the bulk of the armour highlighted for #HobbyStreak day 451
Apparently this scheme works really well across larger batches - I particularly like how quickly they were "tabletop ready" and now I'm just building on that
"Unity is a bit rough but -does- work"
Evergreen statement
9 Hearthkyn on paint handles, painted with grey jumpsuits, green armour with yellow shoulder stripes, brown leather, and metallic details
Finished blocking in all the base colours for #HobbyStreak day 450! Just need to get the bases textured and then it's onto shades and highlights
Will have to give that a try!
9 Hearthkyn on paint handles, painted with grey jumpsuits and green armour with yellow shoulder stripes
Much better progress for #HobbyStreak day 449, but I still hate painting yellow (yes I used a pink underlayer... Yriel Yellow is so weird!!!)
9 Hearthkyn on paint handles, sprayed black with grey jumpsuits and weapons
Spraycoated and started blocking the initial colours (well... colour) for #HobbyStreak day 448
I don't know why I've decided to do a single batch, but here we are
Thank you ๐
... and that's the rest of the squad built for #HobbyStreak day 447!
(A test mini for a new scheme form ages back is the tenth... or I guess first?)
Interesting, thank you! I suspose it really is a bit like asking someone to describe how they see a colour
