Sorry, misread the entry in the spreadsheet in that case, I read it as applying to the whole school of public health

It seems as though U Minnesota is admitting PhD students, not sure where the 100% reduction is coming from (source - admitted students visits this past week). It may well be that they are reducing but not 100% seemingly.
They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

This is a great timeline cleanse. 👏🏻
Ok, @bsky.app this is the moment you’ve been waiting for after Meta’s moves today. But, how shall I put this, the volume of obviously not fully genuine followers is…notable and getting more so. What’s the plan?
Maybe not the only whale in the sea ;-)

Well said. So much kowtowing to the culture wars shtick in Zuck’s thread I can’t in good conscience contribute to that. Moving to Texas from California to avoid the appearance of bias? At least if he said “to curry favor with the administration and lower my tax rate” it would be more honest.
I found some impressive hallucinations when I fed an earnings report into ChatGPT and it created an entirely fictional product. Of note, Claude seemed much more cautious and accurate in my n of 1 experiment….yeah I know

Dagnabit - I have Vivek Murthy pulling on one arm and Michael Gilman pulling on the other. Those do look good.

Would love to see Prof Iwasaki post over here too - her feed was a must read on Twitter
Still trying to get back into the habit of posting here - I think I’m going to give “Calling Bullshit” by the excellent @carlbergstrom.com and @jevinwest.bsky.social one more read over this holiday period as a way to prime the system for the year ahead.
This cartoon is from 1930.
It could have been today.
This is exhausting and a waste of time and money. The vaccine/autism connection has been tested & found lacking, whether for MMR, thimerosal, aluminum, "too many too soon" & more. This just further stigmatizes autism & casts doubt on vaccines (which is the point).
Is the Breville’s signature Walter White line of kitchen appliances?
This interview by @karaswisher.bsky.social is both vital and gut wrenching. It’s hard to imagine what Megan Garcia has gone through, and hard to imagine what more could she have done to protect her son. A strong case for guard rails on chatbots posing as humans.

I came to Bluesky and found God.
Truth be told, I found God on Twitter several years ago but felt as though I’ve lost him these past few years.
Good to be back on the righteous path.
Both?
I love this idea….our current moment makes we wonder whether this iteration of long term thinking will account for increasing short term incentives that seem to be questioning our present view of the world around us.
As an emergency physician from day 1 of the pandemic, who was offered a COVID vaccine the first week it was available, I had watched young, healthy people die in alarming ways, but I was worried about sticking this stuff into my arm that was approved under an emergency authorization. 1/
Well worth a read for those contemplating learning more about biotech and Pharma R&D careers 👇🏻
Excellent lists and resources Frank! I think @dereklowe.bsky.social ‘s body of work also provides a unique perspective on the drug industry that helps to sort the hope from the hype. Hard to point to just one post by the whole In The Pipeline archive is classic stuff.
Excellent to see - thanks @pearlf.bsky.social and @jasonrkelly.bsky.social
