For World Photography Day, here are some of my favorite photos that I've taken over the past decade or so in the Hudson Valley.

What's pictured above is a restored trail on the north side of the island that leads up to the residence (out of frame toward the left), and to the summit, after crossing the bridge (middle of the frame). Last summer, work was completed on a 900 sq ft deck closer to the dock (pictured below).

Good question! He was a descendant of the MacDonalds of Glencoe. Francis Bannerman VI himself was born in Scotland in 1851 and arrived in the US with his family when he was 3. He started building the armory/warehouse made to look like a castle, in 1901, as well as a residence and other buildings.

Thank you! It is crazy. All four happened between April and October, and I took three of them standing generally in the same location.

Last I heard, the current understanding is that Betelgeuse may actually appear to have a previously unknown "companion" star.

There are a number of local campsites available within driving distance. Tours are also directly accessible to pedestrians in NYC via Grand Central, as our boat dock is adjacent to the train station in Beacon, NY.
