These headlines saying that both Latino and Black men moved toward Trump are making it sound like the two groups acted in similar manners. Black men went from D+60 to D+56, Latinos went from D+23 to R+12. Lumping these two groups together feels like purposefully obfuscating a story about race.
Palm Springs has voted to pay $5.9M to Black families whose homes were burned and bulldozed in the 60's. I wrote about how while city officials carried out the destruction, it was the local tribe that owned the land and became rich because of the destruction.
