I extremely do not recommend boat when your uterus is trying to kill you

A Black Oystercatcher bathing in a rock pool, with another out of focus in the background. These are all-black shorebirds with very long orange bills, and striking yellow eyes. They have long, pale pink legs
A stream cutting through a forest of coastal redwoods, with a lush carpet of sword ferns
A male Vermillion Flycatcher perched on a twig against a blue sky This is a bright red songbird with black wings and a black stripe across his eyes. His bill is short and pointed.
A juvenile Short-tailed Albatross flying low across ocean waves, with a trail of spray following just behind its wing, which it was skimming in the water. This is a dark brown seabird with a round body and very long wings. Its bill is relatively heavy with a bulbous tip and a pale pink color.
places I went while I was gone
- Northern California
- Southern Arizona
- Boat
I was extremely excited to see it :)
tiny cottonballs
oh, huh. this is actually kinda an interesting request because quenya doesn't have a gerundive, so you'd have to massage it to get the exact meaning, and I don't think you could get it as pithy. I'd probably just use an imperative? Also the verb for 'destroy' is a lil contentious.
I was very happy to get it, although we were both very cold :(
sadly I only do Quenya
A Black Turnstone walking across bright green surfgrass exposed at low tide. This is a dark brown shorebird with a dark chest, a white belly and brown legs. It has black eyes and a short, pointed black bill.
Four baby Killdeer chicks standing in a gravel lot. These are extremely fluffy baby shorebirds with long legs and short bills. Their backs are mottled brown, their bellies are bright white, and they have black markings across their chest and eyes.
A White-lined Dirona swimming over sand This is a nudibranch with a whitish, semi-translucent body and broad leaf-like projections across its body that are edged in white.
A male Common Yellowthroat singing while perched on a small branch. The vapor of his breath is just visible above him. This is a yellow songbird with a bright yellow throat and a black mask over the front of his face. He has a contrasting white stripe just above this mask, and a small, sharp black bill.
I am verrrrrryyyyy tentatively back, bsky. Do not make me regret this.
Have some recent photos :)
I'm so, so sorry.
(About a tenth of my followers are excellent, interesting, cool people that I'm delighted to interact with. Five percent are people who will give you unwanted advice to stop eating soy when they don't know a fucking thing about your diet. The rest are bots and AI slop.)
Being on bluesky has taught me that having 17 thousand followers sucks actually, which has been a valuable lesson.
Recent decisions by the platform's owners are not convincing me that it's worth it to continue.
(Actual courage would be telling these people to shove it but USA Curling isn't going to do that four months before the Winter Olympics.)
(Are they actually courageous? No. They did still enact a ban. And I don't want to make excuses for that, because ultimately that's telling trans women that they matter less than other curlers. Which is why I think it's important for USA Curling to see that we give a shit about our teammates.)
USA Curling has shown a thousand times more courage than USA Fencing (my other sport), which fucking capitulated preemptively and immediately to terf garbage.
USA Curling cannot currently reverse this decision because, again, it's not an internal policy. But you can make it clear that you want to keep avenues for easy reversal open and that the curling community does not want the governing body to pursue or enforce trans-exclusive policies.
While USA Curling is required to implement this policy as a result of a Federal executive order, and did what they could to minimise the damage, I'd encourage showing up to express support for trans women and their participation in our sport.
If you're a member of USA Curling, they're having a town hall to discuss their new trans-exclusive Competition Category Policy tomorrow night (October 7) among other things.
Stretch.
He's a very good natured giant lump of a criminal β€οΈ
A cute gray and white cat
River is an actual precious princess who has never committed a crime, ever.
(They do look somewhat similar, but River is half Dragon's size, and does not have tabby stripes)
This is Dragon. He has definitely done many things wrong in his life. But I do still love him
This is, ultimately, my fault for putting the cat treats next to the medication so that I could easily access them when River got her ears done, instead of in a locked cabinet.
A grey and white tabby cat mid-meow
He says he has been unjustly accused and wants a lawyer.
A bag of cat treats. The back has been ripped open and it is completely empty. There are suspiciously cat shaped bite marks across the entire package.
Went to give River a treat for being good and brave for letting me put drops in her ears.
Discovered major evidence of Crimes by Dragon
It's not full of *water.*
Does it have at least one hoodie and some unopened mail in it?
... maybe

How exactly do you think I found out she had a yeast infection
She's now on meds and ear cleaning so hopefully it'll sort itself out.
