They played TT's on this tour. Chris Walla complimented my Juno t shirt. It was a good show.

yeah i separate art from the artist. i put the harry potter books in the recycling and jk rowling in the trash.
I just finished off a bag of what can only be described as pickle flavored packing peanuts, and I'm just sad they're all gone.
ZAP!
My first thought was "wait, I didn't know Steven Dorff was in LOTR"
Flyer for "Boston Punk on the Web" with addresses for web rings, punk skin and HC sites, and pages for the Ducky Boys, The Unseen, Dropkick Murphys, :30 Seconds Over Tokyo, and more.
Mine wasn't the only one either! This one has my first web address, a subfolder on my dad's dialup network's server.
I wish I could see all of those websites today, exactly as they were back then. Where can I get a copy of Netscape and a 56k modem?
A black and white flyer for "Hookworm's Showcase Showdown page". It has a URL that died 28 years ago. I think that's supposed to be Judge Ito(?) with Marv Albert inset over a bed of popcorn with the words "Punk Rock on the Internet"
I owe my career to them. I started learning HTML in 95 by running a Showcase Showdown website. I'd post upcoming and past shows, photos, flyers, set lists, and a complete discography.
I made these flyers for them to pass out on an upcoming tour once. There's only shreds left on the Wayback Machine.
The flyer for a show at the Middle East Downstairs, in Cambridge, MA, on February 23, 1996. The Showcase Showdown, Violent Society (from PA), the Goons (from DC), the Dropkick Murphys (first show?), and the Pissed Officers. The Showcase Showdown used the back of this to write their set list, which you can barely see blessing through the paper. I grabbed this off the stage at the end of the show.
Dropkick Murphy's first show (I believe) was opening for Showcase in 1996.
This is the flyer for it. You can kind of see their set list bleeding through the paper from the other side.
the legendary Showcase Showdown, live, in 20fucking26.
Still can't believe I got to see the Showcase Showdown last night.
Spent my teen years piled in front of the stage singing along to them. I only managed to stay up front for 20 minutes last night before my asthma made me retreat to the back.
Little snafu with the mixer, but otherwise that went pretty good!
I don't have a recording of the broadcast, but here's the playlist if anyone is interested.

Getting to play Radio DJ at my daughter's high school radio station tonight with @aprilist.bsky.social at 8PM. I think we have a good set planned.
Be one of the six people listening here!

It's gonna take a lot more than kombucha for that
This was one of the albums I learned from front to back on guitar in high school. Still love Undertow too.
"Hahaha get wrecked ya surveilling fucks."
You should leave Substack in 2026, because they platform fascists regularly, but even before that I am *begging* you to stop referring to your writing as "my Substack" because why give them that agency. It's your writing, your posts, your words, on their platform.
I have my volume at zero for a reason. Get with the typing
I deleted the app a few years ago. Went from 2+ hours a day, to a few minutes a week.
I only use it in a browser with ad-block. It's still a miserable fomo machine, but it's far more tolerable this way.
There's still a union boycott going on, so (hopefully) that's part of it.
This is why I never post anything
1. Great, let's do this
2. Here's some useful info (from my agent). You have until March 23, 2026 and it now includes illustrators
3. Here is the Works Lookup link: secure.anthropiccopyrightsettlement.com/lookup/
Props to the artist
Did you encourage people to put 409 in their coffeemaker?

Imagine how much cooler it would have been if we weren't 21 year old babies? I apologize to anyone who ever lived with me before I was 25.
