FYI Indie Authors, Dax has found a free distributor and the best looking single alternative to D2D we've got. Its ebook and audiobook only (not paperback), and German owned.

Sorry, its 2 UK petitions, not a US one. The US had one asking Palantir not to support ICE, but that seemed pointless.
Ah, I misread that. There was one petitioning Palantir not to support ICE, but petitioning them seems pointless.
Fair point. It didn't fit the style of the rest of the article π€
Oh that's annoying. I didn't see that one, though I did see that the Aussie parliamentary petition had closed, and with far too few signatures π
Article on Palantir proclaiming themselves as an essential tool in building the Fourth Reich, and war as inevitable -read 'profitable'- for them.

Tis indeed, & bundles are just a small part of what gets discussed on both. The top one is all things indie author, mine is that and channels for marginalised authors, and regional channels (of the world.) I can DM you an invite to the latter if you like. Indie Bookspotlight's is via their profile.

Globe showing the Atlantic Ocean with arrows depicting the AMOC circulation: warm surface currents (pink/red) flowing northward from the tropics toward the Arctic, and cold deep return currents (blue/purple) flowing southward. The background shows sea surface temperature trends, with a prominent blue cold patch, the "cold blob", south of Greenland, contrasting with warming (orange/red) across the rest of the ocean.
1/ There's a system of ocean currents in the Atlantic that shapes Europe's #climate, drives monsoons, and keeps sea levels stable along the US coast.
In the last 5 years, the scientific evidence that it could collapse has shifted dramatically.
Most people have no idea. π§΅

Absolutely. A combination of circumstance and autism made my main character predisposed to not have a sense of humour, but his friends are giving him ample opportunity to develop one, and he's rising to the challenge.
Its pretty easy to set up, and it began selling indie games, so likely a good market for choose your own adventure.
It is. It's such a natural tension breaker. And black humour has it's place too.
I think having both makes for a good all round reading experience.
I post about all the ones I host on Bsky, but the most reliable place to catch them is on Discord.
@bookspotlight.bsky.social's discord has bundles ranging from genre & theme specific to identity.
My Writers & Authors Discord is more likely to be queer & neurodivergent bundles, with some others.
Fiction is a great place for humour. The themes & overall tone of my books are too serious to market as 'comedy fantasy/ SciFi-Fantasy.' But let's just say I have characters blowing off nerves before a major crime bust by joking about running around in their underwear as a diversionary tactic π.
PS. My direct store portion is only 7 months of sales, as I set that up most recently.
Note: I haven't included Amazon because I've pulled my ebooks from them already & leaving D2D will (happily) pull my paperbacks from them too.
But if anyone's curious what limited marketing/ promo got me saleswise on Zon compared to wide, I can pull that up when I finish this round of wip edits.

The problem was that writing the 10k was an aside from the editing, which was supposed to be 50 pages of preexisting content π
I've somehow gotten worse at jotting down notes -I'm terrible at losing them- but better at remembering them in my head. Its more that once I'm back at work I won't remember so well, and I'm releasing this book before my next holiday, so ideas for it need to go into the draft now.
Today was an editing day. I somehow only managed to edit 20 pages of my novel. And its now 10k longer. Oops π
I had character development scenes ratting around in my head that needed writing down before my holidays end. Some may move to book 3, but at least I won't forget them now!
That's narrated by an autistic, blunt af character (Rarkin), who has little knowledge of poetry and almost no use for metaphors. So when he talks like that; he's shattered. π
Some scenes always make you cry, even when you spend years drafting & editing. Like this one.
"And where once there was a fortress, a barely contained tempest no one dared to cross, a wolf guarding my back and watching over us; now there was a dark and empty night."
-Countering the Hands of Crime
*for Rarkin, this is a backhanded compliment π
My SFF has never been religious. For Sythe Series, religion's role tends to be inclusion in philosophical observations, like this one, which Rarkin makes near the end of Countering the Hands of Crime;
"If the gods were real, one thing I was now sure of, was that the bastards had a sense of humour."
Just Kobo and Overdrive, so its a direct store + libraries.
A cartoon sun is booty-bumping a raindrop in a raincoat, causing his raincoat to open, revealing a rainbow. The background is a city made of clouds. Text reads: RAINING RAINBOWS LET YOUR COLORS SHINE Picture book Written by: Nickolas Rice Word Count: 374 words Comps: GORGEOUSLY ME! by: Jonathan Van Ness and CALVIN by JR and Vanessa Ford
Roy wants to blend in with the drizzle of raindrops, but that means hiding who he truly is under his raincoat. Until Biv, a ball of sunshine, inspires him to share his true colors. Together, they're RAINING RAINBOWS.
