Not sure you cant read Howe's comments from yesterday then see Gordon dropping out from the matchday squad and accept any injury smokescreen. Fair play for Eddie being decisive. Hope it works #NUFC

Nowhere near good enough again. Same game different opponents. Nothing to get behind and the players have 100% chucked the towel in. #NUFC

Surely can't be signing someone with Scalvini's injury record given the faff we seem to continually have with Botman.

Kieran Trippier is the best defender I've ever seen for Newcastle. Came from the Spanish league champs to roll his sleeves up for a relegation battle to kick on and deliver a trophy. A real modern day #NUFC totem. He won't be forgotten.

He wouldn't be the player he is now if he'd been at us now is my view due to limited game time and/or being tasked with playing in a variety of positions compared to being a nailed on starter as a 6 for Forest. Still sucks feeling the "what if" element. We don't have enough homegrown heros.

VAR, PSR, SCR, like a constant ringing in the ears, every week. Joyless.

No issue was just a healthy debate, as I said in my last message you're entitled to your opinion!

Had a nice day

So getting £125m for a player who has scored 3 goals this season for a lad who was clearly a wrongun.

No dramas you're entitled to your opinion, I just view the comments from Hopkinson differently (specific to the fee/conduct).

But the sale wasn't the issue in itself no? The fact we blew the money on poor incomings is why we're 12th.

We're agreeing it was handled poorly.

My point was that the figure we got given the circumstances was acceptable. Liverpool's initial bid before signing Ekitike was £105m.

We got 125m for a player who had been on strike for months and said he would never play for the club again. The failing wasnt the sale, it was the total lack of planning for the eventuality and allowing Liverpool to snatch Ekitike/not signing players.

Possession for possession's sake always looks dreadful om the eye too.

Totally agree re readiness but still feel they should be pushing more than they are. So flat going forward.

The helium joke was absolutely superb (as was the whole of Weekend Update tbf)

The fact it wasnt written as a trilogy was very evident in the final execution.

Great, good to know they clearly have their priorities in order.

Without having read it, if it's referencing the racist incident that's not a problem headline. If it's about the game itself then they were presumably born in October 2021.

Too many players that didnt want it enough #NUFC

Man Utd signed that young lad from Belgium for £17m and he's instantly gone in and calmed things down in fairness (admittedly they were at circus levels).

This isn't done. Weve scored proper goals, they've capitalised on errors. #NUFC

He's criminally under appreciated in my view. Incredible player.

Fantastic display and a cruel end. Lads learn to kill a game please - where have performances like that been all season?! #NUFC

This is genuinely sad. Imagine lowering yourself to this sort of performative nonsense. Good lord.

He's not been the same since he did his shoulder. Neither are up to the level I'd hope for.
