It’s evident she didn’t read/didn’t understand Hamlet at all because if she did, she’d know that Ophelia’s fate wouldn’t have changed because of a man, rather it would have changed with feminism. This song is very “thank you for saving me, male lover” when Hamlet literally ruined Ophelia’s life. Sad
