This is an awful story. What on earth has happened to our profession for SLT to think this is okay?

@pepediiasio.bsky.social Well done on calling out prejudice.

Looking for a policy statement by ASCL, protecting not only its members in LA maintained schools but also defending the right of self-determination.
Can you help @ascl-uk.bsky.social ?
Another example of MAT central teams being clueless.
Give the money back to schools.
Every year since he died, I spoke to the school on Remembrance Day about one of our students who had joined up, been gravely injured in Afghanistan and died of his wounds.
Trump has never had class, honour or dignity. Those who hold a flag for him in the UK should hang their heads in shame.
This is such a shame that campaigning for this is still needed, eleven years after the wasted years report.
Ishould begin with an apology. Last month, I described Robert Jenrick as āthe most shameless man in parliamentā. His office complained at the time, but I was stubborn and refused to back down. Well, itās never too late to say you were wrong. Robert Jenrick is not simply the most shameless man in parliament. He is the most shameless man in Britain, the most shameless man on Earth. Quite possibly the most shameless man in history. It is not simply that Jenrick has no shame. He is like a black hole for shame, sucking in the embarrassment of people around him. Which will be quite handy in his new party, Reform. Nothing became Jenrickās time in the Conservative Party so much as the leaving of it. For years he had eased his way up the greasy pole, switching positions when necessary, a heating-seeking missile for whichever pose could help him advance, poster boy for the importance of self-belief over ability or integrity. And finally he was undone because he forgot to pick something up off a

Punished?
Amazingly, Zahawi only got round to deleting the below after the press conference announcing his defection to Reform.
Appalling mismanagement again in MATs. This experiment has proven nothing but incompetence and greed.

Best job!
Matt Walsh tweeted last year: "We've spent the last 25 years bringing "freedom" and "democracy" to countries around the globe while our own country has been systematically invaded and now our largest cities are run by foreigners and communists. If you want to know why I'm so avowedly non-interventionist, this is why." Then he tweeted today: ""This is a war for oil!!!!!" First of all, the "war" lasted like 90 minutes. Second, going to war to secure vital resources for your own people is totally legitimate. Why should we allow some third world communist shithole to control trillions of dollars worth of oil?"
Laura Loomer tweeted last year: "Iām America First, I donāt support āRegime Changeā. I went on @Bannons_WarRoom to talk about Chinese aggression in Venezuela and why we need to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign Islamic terrorist organization." Then she tweeted yesterday: "Maduro has arrived at the DEA office in Manhattan. He was transported in an armored motorcade after being transported in a blindfold via helicopter & then by plane to New York after his compound in Caracas was raided by US Special Forces. Proud to be an American today! USA šŗšø"
Catturd tweeted last year: "Name one U.S. inspired regime change that hasnāt ended in absolute disaster." Then he tweeted yesterday: "Venezuela is now more free than New York City."
Will Chamberlain tweeted last year: "The Republican Party is no longer the party of regime change and endless wars If you want to be its standard-bearer that is a non-negotiable position" Then he tweeted yesterday: "I can think of few better uses of my tax dollars than black-bagging the head of a foreign narco-trafficking organization that enriches itself by addicting and poisoning my fellow Americans"
amazing how the entire machine can pivot within 24 hours. no need to slowly upsell the argument; just issue new marching orders
With OFSTED under scrutiny with new framework glitches, here's to the 10 yr anniversary of receiving a draft report for our provision with a 24hr turnaround.

Wanted to manipulate the KS intake data to give a different picture of progress but he was persuaded that this should not be done.
This was over 15 years ago.
Cheating has happened for a long time. I remember our principal completing parent OFSTED surveys in the days when they were paper based.

She was arrested for holding a sign reading:
āI do not support the proscription of Palestine Actionā
How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law theyāve been forced to enforce.
Seen too much corruption in the academised sector.
It gets worse on and the new government doesn't show any signs of tackling it.
And complicit through failure @cstvoice.bsky.social
When will DFE get a grip of this embedded exploitation by MAT CEOs?
