Only just found out that Soul Train, The Love Boat and Car 59 Where Are You aren’t part of the same continuity. In other words I’ve built this diorama for fucking nothing.

I think it’s very nice to know before I start watching a movie that the pacing is absolutely fucked.

A white garment with some kind of food stain. Humiliating.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.

Here is an easy solution:

Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.

Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.

Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.

A shop called Cool Mix with horrible psychedelic lettering except the colours in the I of MIX are reversed. It’s a vape shop, phone accessories and American sweets emporium

“The lettering isn’t chaotic enough. Turn the ‘I’ upside down.”

Lovely quirk of the English language that buying a house and home ownership refer to the same thing, but homework and housework are different entirely.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie review — is this the end of cinema? Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy and Glen Powell joylessly bleat their way through this supremely vacuous anti-movie which is, at times, physically painful to watch

“At a time when cinema is fighting for its existence and defining itself as a recognisable expression of lived human experience, this is precisely the kind of ugly, overbranded, lifeless digital marketing vomit that represents the sinister end of it all.”

A drawing of a classic Hammer-era vampire pointing at the viewer. His eyes (and therefore identity) are obscured by a solid bar covering them (as if this would hide the identity of Dracula, which is a) the joke, and b) part of the long-running visual identity of @PeggyMountPod).

A promo shot of one of the performers (I haven't looked up his name) from the imminent UK version of Saturday Night Live. Like all members of every crazy comedy troupe, he is trying to look overtly relaxed to the point of wry irony, hoping this will sell him at face-value as relatable and simultaneously as a knowingly subversive comic. It does neither. Ultimately he just looks like a smug twat who is way out of his depth and who will be haunted by this picture until they day they bury him with it. I am using the picture here to sarcastically demonstrate my own shortcomings when it comes to socialising. Although my shortcomings are nowhere near as many as this performers. I refuse to look up his name.
