Record low at DCA tomorrow 1/27 is 6°, which is the highest record low of the month. NWS going for 5°, which would be the first January record low at DCA since 1994 (1/19 at -4°).

Storm wrap-up…
4.1” snow Sunday early morning turned to sleet just after 12Z. The 3.4” nearly all sleet with some light icing to cap it off (why not). Temps in the teens up to 27 briefly before falling back to the low 20s. Total liquid was 2.07” which is crazy. SLR 10:1 for snow and 2:1 for sleet.

15° with sleet. What a waste.

Fun fact: the last time DCA was below freezing for at least 7 consecutive days was December 1989 (10 days). Record is 12 consecutive days in 1936. #dcwx
