Wasn’t about the music. According to his memoir and some interviews, they never paid for a set of stage clothes Dee’s spouse Suzette built for them. One of Twisted’s first national tours was opening for that other band; Dee had to hold back from really confronting them to keep the tour going.
Pretty sure @deesnider.bsky.social won’t join you in praising Krok…umm…that other band. But #hornsup for Accept and Scorps. And Dokken actually kinda came out of that scene.
